ERMA VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY

USCG Clearwater HH-60J Jayhawk Crew lands
at CMC Airport during Hurricane Irene
August 27, 2011

This Crew Landed Their HH-60J Jayhawk at the airport during Hurricane Irene, flying from Clearwater, Fl to New York. They were unable to continue to fly due to poor visibility.

The crew was brought to the firehouse where they had lunch with members of Erma Fire and exchanged patches.  They were given a tour of the firehouse, then when the weather cleared up a bit, we drove them back to their vessel.  We were to be given a tour of the aircraft, but as luck would have it, the tones dropped at that moment.
